Interests and Hobbies

There really isn't much I wouldn't try, I am open to new food, culture, and life experience. I have done some

traveling and want to experience the world to the fullest, but really at heart I am just an Oregon girl. I was
born and raised in Portland, and have spent my entire life as an Oregon resident. Exploring my own backyard has
given some of the fullest experiences as I have the mountains, ocean, desert,
and river valleys to wander in my free time.

Some recent trips to local adventure:
Silver Falls, Oregon
Elgin Stampede and Rodeo (Elgin, Oregon)
Mt. Saint Helens (even got some photos of activity!)
Columbia Gorge Interpretive Museum
Ecola State Park (Cannon Beach, Oregon)
Teton National Park (Jackson, Wyoming)
Yellowstone National Park (Wyoming)
Gardiner, Montana
Coeur d'Alene, Idaho
Okanogan Family Fair (Tonasket, Washington)
Clear Lake on Mt. Hood, Oregon
Lake Harriet/Clackamas River

I love movies, music, art, and adventure. I even have had the opportunity
to fulfull a lifelong dream of skydiving at Gravityzone in Jean, Nevada.
What an adrenaline rush!

When I am not on a quest for adventure, I am reading, writing, learning (I am a
lifelong student), making jewelry, or relaxing with my husband, and our dog Buddy.

Believe me, Buddy knows how to relax!

I am also currently working on a business plan for my web-boutique. Keep your eyes on new things going on in my giftshop www.goddess-cafe.com helping women of the world embrace their inner goddess!

Influences

I'd like to take a page here to list a few of the people whose influence has been critical in my growth as a writer. Some of my favorite poets are Rod McKuen, Anne Sexton, Walt Whitman, Alice Walker, William Shakespeare, and Emily Dickinson. Authors I enjoy are vast but a few of the select are Tom Robbins, John Saul, Anne Rice, John Irving, and John Eldredge. I love art and music as well. The times in my life that have been the happiest have been full to the brim with art and creativity. Van Gogh and Munch are two of my favorite painters, and as far as music goes, the sky is the limit. I like it all and listen to it every day.

I was married to my husband on September 2, 2005 and we are currently enjoying
our life together. We are truly best friends and have had a lot of fun so far on this marital adventure. Michael is so key to my life and the success of my world from day to day, and so I must credit him as one of my biggest influences. His love excites me about life like never before, and I have to thank him for all that he has taught me. He is my webmaster guru, so check out his work at www.aikographics.com.

My family and friends are a great influence on my life as well. I know that they are the priority, because life is fleeting, and we should spend quality time while we have the time. My kindred have kept me sane in the craziest of times, and helped me have fun during the times when I need to "lighten up". Those closest to me in my life have been the foundation with which I have to build a solid structure and direction in life. Though I have had chance to wander, I have found that my closest friends help keep me from straying too far off track.

I find myself inspired by so many different things and people that I encounter each day. This is
the wind that fills my sails, and the breath of air that feeds my existence. I only hope to pass on inspiration to others.
